MetroPath: a free Dhaka Metro app for routes, fares and train times
MetroPath is a free app for riding the Dhaka Metro. Pick two stations and it shows the route, the trip time, the official fare (with the MRT Pass and Rapid Pass price) and the first and last train, in English or বাংলা, even with no internet. It runs on Android and in any browser.

Why MetroPath
The facts you need before a metro trip are scattered: the fare chart is a scanned PDF, the timetable is a web page in Bangla, holiday changes are posted as notices, and many websites copy old or wrong numbers. MetroPath puts them in one place, checked against the official DTCA and DMTCL sources, so you know the fare, the time and the last train before you leave home.
What MetroPath does
- Route planner. Choose two stations to see the trip time, the number of stops and where to change lines once more lines open.
- Official fares. Every trip shows the DTCA fare, with the 10% MRT Pass and Rapid Pass discount when you switch it on.
- First and last train. Each station shows today’s first and last train in both directions, for the right day of the week, including Fridays.
- Nearest station. One tap finds the station closest to you. Your location stays on your phone.
- Two maps. A clear metro map, and a real street map of Dhaka with Line 6 on its actual track and walking directions.
- Card balance (Android). In the Google Play app, hold an MRT Pass or Rapid Pass to the back of your phone to see its balance and recent trips.
- Works offline. After you sign in once, the map, routes, fares and times open without a connection, useful on a weak signal.
- English and বাংলা. Every screen and every station name, in both languages.
- Saved places. Save home, work and favourite trips to plan them in one tap.

Your data
MetroPath needs a free account (an email and a password). Your location is used only on your phone when you ask for the nearest station, and card readings stay on your phone. The privacy policy lists everything, in plain words.
